Aviation
The Aviation Academy offers students a comprehensive exploration of the aviation industry, covering fundamental concepts and providing a deep dive into the various careers within this field.
Throughout the program, students will gain hands-on experience and knowledge that will prepare them for several key certifications. By the end of the first year, students will be ready to take the FAA Part 107 remote pilot license exam and earn the Unmanned Safety Institute (USI) Level One Safety Certificate, which is essential for obtaining a drone remote pilot license. In the second year, students will work towards acquiring visual line of sight credentials, further enhancing their expertise in aviation and meeting graduation requirements. The academy is part of the Taxi to Takeoff OSU Program, an innovative partnership with Ohio high schools to foster aviation education and workforce development.
