Ready to explore the science behind how life works—and how to improve it? At the Biomedical Research Academy, you’ll dive deep into the world of medicine, biology, and research while blending creativity and innovation through biomedical art and real laboratory experiences.
In this four-course sequence, you’ll study advanced biology, analyze body systems, and design a capstone project that mirrors real scientific investigation. You’ll connect with medical professionals, present findings, and leave with a portfolio that showcases your readiness for college, research, or healthcare careers. Open to: Grades 10–12, Dublin City Schools students
Course length: 2 periods daily • Yearlong (3.0 HS credits total across four integrated courses)
Transportation: Free shuttle between home high schools and Emerald Campus
Enrollment: Recommended strength in math and science; willingness to engage in lab research and portfolio work
Cost: Free • Optional AP Biology exam fee (if choosing to sit for the AP exam)
Recognition: AP Biology (weighted 5.0) • 0.5 Art credit • Capstone research portfolio
