The Dublin Teacher Academy (DTA) is designed for college-bound juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in education. This program offers students a head start on the path to becoming successful educators by combining classroom learning with real-world experience. Students will participate in site visits and classroom internships with Dublin City Schools teachers, providing hands-on experience in teaching and educational settings. In addition to these internships, students will attend seminar sessions and blended learning days at the Emerald Campus, offering a well-rounded and immersive introduction to the field of education.

The Dublin Teacher Academy is ideal for students who love working with others and have a passion for the education pathway. It is perfect for those who want to gain practical experience in teaching, engage in service-learning activities, and develop leadership skills through participation in Educators Rising, a student leadership organization focused on fostering the next generation of educators.
Course Information:
The DTA is a two-year program that meets in a two-period block, providing students with ample time to engage in internships, seminars, and blended learning activities. Students have the opportunity to earn CPR/First Aid certification and college credits through the Career Technical Assurance Guides (CTAG) program, giving them a strong foundation for their future education and career.
