American Sign Language (ASL) (CCP at Emerald Campus)

Learn American Sign Language in an immersive, visual language environment—right at Emerald Campus. Through our partnership with Columbus State Community College (CSCC), you’ll earn transcripted college credit while developing real-world communication skills and cultural understanding of the Deaf community.

ASL courses emphasize expressive and receptive signing, fingerspelling, grammar, and everyday conversations— all in a supportive, high school setting designed for your success.

In this full year 2-course sequence option, you’ll build language proficiency, earn real college credit, and open doors to pathways in healthcare, education, social services, and interpreting.

Open to: Grades 9–12 Dublin City Schools students
Course length: 1 period; All year
Transportation: Free shuttle between home high schools and Emerald Campus
Enrollment: Students must apply to Columbus State Community College (CSCC) and meet CCP readiness benchmarks. Access the district High School Scheduling page for more details.
Cost: Free – tuition, books, and fees covered under the state-funded CCP program
Recognition: Transcripted college credit through CSCC; builds world language proficiency and authentic signing skills
